사라져가는 태양, 흐드러지는 별빛, 꺼지지 않는 네온사인, 누군가의 씁쓸함.
선우는 오렌지 주스를 마시며 생각했다.
사실 오렌지 주스는 이런 재료로 만드는게 아닐까? 알고보면 우리가 실이라 부르는 것은 마녀의 머리카락일지도 몰라.
이 지구, 인간 사회의 원동력은 사실 중세 시대의 타오르던 불꽃일지도 모르겠어.
푸르른 하늘에 박힌 별빛 마저도 수 세기를 건너 넘어온건데, 이거라고 그러지 않는 법은 없으니까.
이런 결론을 내린 선우의 눈 앞에 존재감 없이 지나가는 것이 있었다.
길을 잃은 영혼을 닮은 흑빛 머릿결, 19세기 가스등을 훔쳐온듯한 눈빛. 이윽고 숨이 멎은 채 눈이 수차례 깜빡였다.
마녀? 아니 마법사인가? 어딘가에 오랫동안 기록된 마녀와 마법사는 분명 이를 보고 떠올린 걸거야. 그렇지 않고서야 이럴 수 없어.
선우의 여름빛 하늘에 콕 하고 점 찍힌 이 감정은 동경인지 호기심인지 정확히 지칭할 수 없었다.
아니 어쩌면 사랑이었을지도 모른다.

If you order now, the manufacturing process begins on 1/21, and the goods are to be shipped out before 1/28.
